Garland

I am late on Christmas decorating. So, I wanted to post my last year Garland that exploded into something I thought was breath taking. It definitely stood out.
I know I am weird, but with a two year old, I still do not feel safe with a fire going or fingers around the screen, so I put furniture in front of it.

Hope you will all enjoy this hours upon hours idea of mine. I actually purchased this wall tin at Tuesday Morning, knowing I needed something that shouted, "Look at Me!" I am all about statements and I want everyone's eyes to have something to look at from floor to ceiling. I couldn't sleep one night, obsessed with this project. I cut a piece of cardboard, cut into four pieces and wired over 100 pine cones (glue gun would not work to make this an easier project). Anyway, I hot glued the cardboard pieces to the tin and purchased clear wire to strengthen the hold of the four pieces pinecone cardboard. Added wispies and magnolia leaves and Looky There, a piece of art! I love it!

Christmas Decorating to Come...........

Happy Holidays Everyone,
Thanks to all of you who came by one of the shows this weekend. All of the shopping definitely got me in the mood to decorate for Christmas. With all of the makings of the wreaths, decorating at the house has been put on the back burner. This week is my goal to have this house decorated for Christmas. Stay tuned for the beautiful results.
I personally wanted to thank Dara Albert with Once Upon a Cottage at www.once-upon-a-cottage.blogspot.com for allowing us to come and invade her beautifully CLEAN house. I think this is the first time she has allowed people to wear shoes inside, but that is why her house looks sparkling new. And a thanks to all of the vendors who participated in the show!

Christmas Wreaths!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Holidays everyone! My family has all chipped in on helping Mom make wreaths. I wish it was always this fun.....

I wanted to let everyone know the kind of November month we have had.....BUSY!!!

I have great support from family and friends, so thank you everyone. My friend Alison is even willing to stand on the side of the road to sell the wreaths. All she needed this day was daisy duke shorts and a hooter's t-shirt. Thank you sweet Alison for the willingness to do whatever it takes to help a friend.

My friend and neighbor Dara have been hanging out alot and getting to know one another. She has started her new craft business Once upon a Cottage. She does wonderful signs with the cutest sayings. She has been a great fan of the wreaths, I think she has purchased four. She claims she did not like wreaths or care much about them until me. I am so thankful.

Okay, so she has brought me a lot of business and we are doing shows together.

This picture is of the Carolina Christmas Show held at the Raleigh Convention Center:
Dara and I will be joining one another at the Greek Church at Westridge and Friendly on Saturday December 6th from 9-3 and that evening we will be showing at Greensboro Academy at six o'clock. Please come out and support us, we would love to see you.

Also, big big big Holiday Show at Dara's House on Sunday December 7th from 2-5. Dara is hosting 13 vendors which includes the Nester!!!!!

Okay, I have some wreaths left...let's decorate Christmas together. Remember, if you like it on this blog, you will love it in person. My camera just does not serve them justice.

Not an exciting blog!

Well, I admit, this has not been an exciting blog to follow at all. I have been crazy busy making wreaths and participating in shows. When I am not doing that, I am caring for my children. All you mothers out there know what it is like to start a project, work, or even try to do something for yourself. Impossible without interruptions when you have little ones. But, we love our children, they are blessings, and we would never want to be without them. So, interruptions are a good thing.
I am finishing up a show tomorrow in Raleigh, NC and will attempt to put whatever wreaths have not sold on etsy and the blog. Please keep the faith that my friend and I will have a great final day!

Last of the Fall Wreaths

Welcome to the pineapple door blog. Thank you for all of my viewers who keep checking back to see if I have created a new post. Life has been crazy these last two weeks, sound like your life. I think it is my life everyday.
Anyway, I have been working on the pineapple door business. Of course, making the last of the Fall wreaths for this year with the remainder of the materials. The exciting news is I am now selling on Etsy. Most of you viewers visit etsy.com all the time, and this is a new website for some of the viewers. The easiest way to find my wreaths is to type in: thepineappledoor and click seller/usernames. That way it will bring you to my etsy shop directly. All of the wreaths will still be posted on this blog. If you are in the triad area of Greensboro, NC then email my contact information or comment on the blog post. And, if you are not local, then please order any of the spectacular wreaths on etsy. I realize the shipping is not ideal on the larger sizes, but I promise you the wreaths are so incredibly wonderful, especially the 34x34 size!

Here is what is left in stock of the Fall Wreaths. If you think they look good in the picture, you will absolutely love them in person. The pictures do not do them any justice.

Fall Wreaths

There is always a first!

Always a First for Everything!

There is always a first! Hey Everyone and Welcome to my very first blog post. Now, remember, I am still a work in progress, so don't expect anything fancy. My friend has informed that I must learn to create my blog without my husband's technical capabilities. That is the best way to learn is to do it yourself. So, here goes. Three weeks ago, I started a new homebased business called the pineapple door. I make custom seasonal wreaths. I am so excited they are turning out beautiful, and so far I have sold eleven. I am going to be in 3 shows in November and I have one show scheduled for December 6th. I will post all location/time information soon.
I promise I will get better at the blogger's life. I have enjoyed reading other blogs, especially the Nester's.
Thanks for reading, pictures will be posted next time.
